Home- Coming

It's a few days and we will be home - with our family , our friends , our old bed , our old room . And without us realizing it , the truth has come .

-[Our days -or I'd rather said , hours - are numbered ]-

We have spent more than two years together . Some of us - five years or maybe longer . We have shared our memory , experience , joy and sorrow ,and even toilet and bedrooms .We have went through our tumultuous teenage years together,changed together .We have lend our shoulders and hands to every one of us who needs it.And finally ,we have gone through the O-level together . Somehow , I believe we must have seen each other more as sisters and families , than friends now . [What with living together for almost two years now ^^ ]

And the time left to us , the hours and minutes , are ticking away this very moment I'm typing . We're parting soon . Each of us will be going on our own way , each of us chasing after different dreams .

So , now that we still have some time together ,let's cherish each of teh remaining seconds we have together .

True it is , that this is not the end . This is yet the beginning . Even when we are a thousand miles apart , the [metallic] bond which held us together will never be broken .We may be separated - but since we're ductile and malleable , I guess it's not much of a problem ^^ .

I hope that , with the time for separation drawing even nearer , this place will be a place for us to come back and embrace our bittersweet past again in the future . May this place be a common place for us to preserve and strengthen our priceless bond .

We'll don our apron until the BBQ ends , when we'll change to our pajamas . Now , of course , we have to do something about the looong list of menu [haiyoh , no wonder Medan lang tham ciak ..] Let's see...

For appetizer ,"camilan" aka.snacks ,and desert we have :
- marshmallows

- fresh , cold fruits
this one you can dip into chocolate to coat with

Ice cream atop jelly and soda [ marquisa/other syrup mixed with sprite ? ]

we will do this at her house . Mix and match paprika , cucumber , tomato ,

The plan is , each of us will have to bring certain dish[es] .The price will be divided upon 16 [ Abo and Valen are joining us too ^^] .You can bring your favorite doll if you want .

What we urgently need to know :
-if any of you can't make it , please inform any of us ASAP !!! BeTeWe , ABSENCE REJECTED UNLESS GOT VERY VERY VALID REASON ARH !!!!!!
-If any of you have BBQ Cooking Wares please kindly , generously , sincerely volunteer them ??? No worry , you have 16 people to scrub and clean them after the BBQ .So , it will be sparkling clean after the BBQ ....[exactly like before the BBQ ^^}
- If any of you have suggestion on the Menus and/or anything else related , such as a problem you have foreseen but which we have missed , please tell us too . That will help a lot .

Nah , the promotion is , the one who volunteer teh BBQ Cook Ware , would probably have the easiest food assignment [eg : french fries , or styrofoam cups ^^ ] .
The tasks would be AS FAIRLY AS POSSIBLE allocated for everyone of us !

Ceritanya , "One saturday" Ita came rushing into my room , whining : " An cua ciak i e pitan er...." ... For those hokkien soul who doesn't know what pitan is ... it is the black egg you eat with leng pua ....Anyway , so I went to the pantry with her , and saw...

3. its something-something covering , which I suppose is soil and dried grass , half peeled

So , teh pitan looked something like a dinosaur egg covered in ...er.....shit....eh...soil deh...[To Ita : hehehe...jgn mara ya ...becanda] then ,you know , a generous person as I am , I showed her how to wash the soil off the pitan , and discussed whether we had to cook it or not [By the way , it was the first time I ever cooked pitan myself too ]

Wait 5 minutes !
But after 2 minutes , we got impatient
and cracked the egg open , just to see whether some black slimy thing would leaked out of it or not !

It turns out we needn't cook it at all !

BTW, just a reminder to all of you, that we need to write a note of appreciation to our teacher mentors......it is to be sent to Miss Tan, the MOE Scholar officer(i'm not sure of her position....:) by 13th FEb..(i guess you'all received an e-mail from her, right?)

Okay...coming back to my main point.....hmm............i'm enjoying the mood of CHInese New Year celebration...YUHUI!!!i hope that you are just as joyful as i am...WKAKAKAK.....

hmmmm...DID you eat YU Sheng yesterday?it tastes hmm....not as bad as what i'd imagined previously...Nonetheless, it does not mean that it's delicious....if i am to give a rating for it, i'll just give 5 upon 10...WOW!!!you know how it tastes...(it's just my POV...as it's subjective, you may like it!) (my suggestion: you should try this!It's kind of unique...)

I wonder whose head is that(in the previous photo(monkey)) ahha....i guess it's YINCE's....hmm...(to Yince:)(do you like it?i hope so, coz it really closely resembles you!haha....)...

The beginning of 2008, you have a new room , a new bed , and a new roommate assigned for you .

Imagine that one day , you went home from school , exhausted , exasperated , and disheveled from the tones of homework and hectic schedule . After releasing the day’s burden by taking a refreshing shower ,you returned to your room .You’re alone .Quiet .You sat by the edge of your soft mattress , closed your eyes , and stretched your body in the pleasant silence .Suddenly , “BANG !!”

The room flew open , and from outside , choking from the burst of laughter and exhilaration , your roommate ambushed your haven .A phone pressed into her right ear , she went totally gaga over the conversation .Your eyes bulged out but you sat very still .

One hour later , some of her friend make a ‘visit’ into her ‘bed’ , bringing in some ‘foods’( which might smell rather ‘heavenly’ to you ) , and watching movies and videos from youtube out loud with maximum volume . You stood up , went into her side of the bed , and with the most pleasant smile you could give her at the moment , asked her to ‘please use a headphone as I need to study ‘ . She answered ‘sorry one headphone isn’t enough for four ‘ .You went back defeated , extremely annoyed .

Four hour later , ANOTHER friend of her dashed into your room AGAIN , ruining the little peaceful .atmosphere you’ve had just for a few minutes after the last wave of her friends left .This time , the friend didn’t scream or laught or went gaga . Instead , she cried - worse still – over some boyfriend or girlfriend or a dead film star somewhere-in-the-world .Your patience spent on this , you went out , OUT .

What should you do then ?

1. Asked politely
2. After a week , start to scold her .
3. If she still stay deaf , compete to make a louder noise with her .
4. She's still deaf to it ? You burn her laptop ( HAHAHA !!! So she can't watch movies anymore KHEkhekhekhe...)
5.WHOA ?! Still deaf and blind ? You go and kick her ass !!

Everything must be settled with diplomacy ...Well , you’re not alone .So ,lets see an article about handling such situation .

“there are plenty of other things that can go wrong with a new dorm or apartment roommate. Maybe you're more of the party type and your roommate thinks bible study is just sooooooo much fun. Maybe your roommate doesn't know the meaning of "too loud," "maybe later," "lighten up you stiff," or "for the last time, this is MINE, that is YOURS." Like I said, there are plenty of things that can go wrong with the unexpected roommate. Maybe you two just aren't compatible -but don't worry- we here at thecollegeguys.com know just what to do.

Step one is to relax. This kind of thing is normal. You'll find hundreds if not thousands of others who are in the same position as you are. Its one of those "please don't happen to me" type of things, and when it does, one is usually unaware of what should be done or how to handle the situation. If you've been in this situation, you know what I'm talking about. First, you're angry and get the whole "why me" syndrome, wishing your roomie was as cool as your friends'. Then you try to avoid the situation as much as possible but when it gets to be too much you experience moments of extreme awkwardness with your room-buddy and anyone else s/he's associated with. Worse case scenario is that it starts to affect your work or study skills, and when that happens, you KNOW its bad.

Some problems are really common, such as bathroom use and privacy. The most important things to establish with a new roommate are boundaries. Your roomie needs to know what are off-limits (e.g. shampoo, bag of chips, your snacks , your bed !!) and what the meaning of space is. The ability to compromise is important in relations among roommates, so you may have to give a little to get a little. You will also have to be frank with your roomie, being clear about what's your side of the room and about clearing up scheduling conflicts, for example. Scheduling conflicts are particularly important because you don't want to take home a major project when your roommate has penciled in a yoga session or keg party. Remember, communication is key.

Now, if you are to sort these issues out with your roommate, its important to do it correctly. You can't just rush up to your mate and demand that you go over some ground rules...."or else." That won't do (however, it could be fun). What you need to do is the following:

@Be early: don't wait until a status quo has been established... you want to make sure that early on in your relationship that you and your roommate are on the same page.

@Be sincere: don't be demanding nor impatient, and try to be understanding of the poor bastard- otherwise, you could make the whole situation come to a head by turning him/her off any compromise whatsoever. Make your roomie believe that you want to help him/her as much as you do yourself.

@Be willing to sacrifice: have in mind what you can compromise in return for not using your closet or towels, etc. Now not all roommates are the same, so you may have to think twice about how to approach yours. However, follow these basic guidelines, and you should save yourself some headaches later on.”

Hoho....You know who I am... Happy B'Dae to Rene ...Mine...and.....(duruduruduruduruduruduruduruduruduruduru)... Din-din!!! Hoho...sorry ..late ! But better late than no at all right? wahahahaha !! Dear Witches and Wizards !

This is The Very Very First Post of Harry Potter of Privet Drive 606 , who , without having to reveal the facts or truths , I dare to say , You-Know-Who I am .
I have made an attempt to bewitch this page according to the winning preference chosen by the majority of you who bother to reply immediately when Hedwig sent the messages to you . It's beige leather and dark chocolate isn't it ?Oh , yeah , I've asked McGonnagall to have a floo powder box to be put up instead of a floo-powder-fireplace here , so you can shout out your queries and whoever is there would be able to answer .
